Best Ever Pound Cake, 7-Flavor Pound Cake, All-Butter Pound Cake, Ma's Coconut Poundcake, Grandmother's Chocolate Pound Cake, Holiday Fruited Pound Cake

BEST POUND CAKE EVER
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Sift flour. Add alternately with milk. Add eggs one at a time mixing thoroughly after each. Add vanilla. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Note: Always add eggs last.

POUND CAKE ICING
1/4 box 10x powder sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 stick butter
Cream together and pour over cake while warm. Cover with pecans if desired.

7 FLAVOR POUND CAKE
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk (fresh or canned)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. coconut
1 tsp. rum
1 tsp. butternut
1 tsp. almond
1 tsp. lemon
Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
FLAVOR GLAZE:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. each extract used in pound cake
Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until sugar melts. Cool.

ALL - BUTTER POUND CAKE
2 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks softened butter
4 eggs
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix well. Pour into buttered loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees till done.
Note: Must use real butter. Do not substitute butter.
ICING:
1/2 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 tbsp. soft butter
ICING: Take soft butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla flavor. Add milk and mix until smooth. Then glaze cake with mixture.

MA'S COCONUT POUND CAKE
1 1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. cake flour
1 c. coconut
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder
DO NOT USE BUTTER IN THIS RECIPE. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add milk and flavoring. Add dry ingredients, beat well; fold in coconut. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees in large tube pan. (I use 1 cup Crisco and a stick of good butter instead of 1 1/2 cups shortening.) Use angel flake coconut.

ICING:
2 c. coconut
1/2 stick butter
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
ICING: Toast coconut in 1/2 stick butter. Beat 1 stick of butter and small amount of sugar until well mixed. Add milk and beat well. Add coconut saving 1/2 cup to sprinkle on top.

GRANDMOTHER'S CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE
1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture alternately with milk and vanilla. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
CHOCOLATE ICING:
1 sm. pkg. cream cheese
3-4 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
Mix cream cheese, milk and vanilla extract; beat well. Add cocoa, beat well. Add sugar and beat until smooth. Spread on cold Chocolate Pound Cake.


Holiday fruited pound cake
2 lbs. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 box seedless raisins
2 lbs. shelled pecans
3 cans Eagle Brand milk
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. each of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
4 tbsp. whiskey
2 boxes graham cracker crumbs
Mix milk and whiskey and stir well. Mix remaining ingredients together. Pour milk over them and stir fast. Mix well and pack firm in tube pans or loaf pans. Let set for 2-3 hours. Turn out and wrap. These freeze real well.
