Savory Shrimp


Savory Shrimp

4 slices bacon -- diced
1 stalk celery -- diced
2 onions -- sliced
4 green peppers -- cut in
1 clove garlic -- minced
2 no 2 cans okra
1 no 2 can tomatoes
1/2 cup catsup
1 can beer
1 pound shrimp -- cooked
and pepper
4 cups cooked rice

Cook bacon; reserve. Sauté celery, onions, green peppers and
garlic in bacon fat until soft.
Drain okra; add with tomatoes, catsup and beer. Simmer until
thick.
Add shrimp and bacon. Heat well. Season to taste with salt and
pepper.
Serve with rice.
