Dirty Rice
Dirty Rice
1/4 lb hot pork sausage
1 lb ground beef
cayenne pepper, to taste
black pepper, to taste
salt, to taste
1 chopped onion
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups cooked long grain rice (Mahatma brand)
In a large skillet, brown the sausage and ground beef over medium heat.
Add cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt to taste.
Add onion, celery, and green pepper and cook until tender.
About 5 minutes.
Stir in cooked rice and serve.
Makes 4 serving
