Roasted Spareribs With Green Onions
1lb .small spareribs
8 2 inch sections green onion
Mixture A
1 T.rice wine
1 T.soy sauce
1 t. salt
1 T brown sugar
1 T.hoising sauce or catsup
1/2 t.five spice powder
3 cloves garlic,smashed
Select relatively lean spareribs.rinse,drain and pat dry.Place in a large
bowl with mixure A
and marinate for at least 1 hour.Mix frequently so that the spareribs will
marinate evently.
Preheat the Oven to 450o F. Pour 1 cap of water in a large shallow roasting
pan, then
place on lowest rack of oven to collect the dippings from the spareribs and
to keep the
oven clean.
Arrange the spareribs on a wire rack. place on the middle rackof the oven
Bake for 30 minutes, baste occasionaly. To test for doneness pick with a
fork or
toothpick, if the resulting liquid is clear, the spareribs are cooked. they
should
be a deep golden brown.Cut into individual ribs and arrange on a serving
platter.
Place a green onion section between each sparerib and serve.
Enjoy it.
