Pierogi Recipe: Cheese And Potato Filling
One of the most popular, if not the best, Polish dishes is the
pierogi. Pierogi is a versatile food that can be enjoyed
several different ways. It is basically a dumpling that can be
stuffed with meat, sauerkraut, potato, or any other filling of
your choice. My personal favorite is pierogi stuffed with
cheese and potato. Here is the recipe:
Dough:
2 cups of flour
3/4 cup of warm water
1 egg
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Filling:
2 large or 4 regular sized potatoes
3 slices of Velveeta Cheese
2 tablespoons of cream cheese
salt and pepper to your liking
Directions:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Put the
potatoes in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat
to medium/high and let the potatoes cook for 20 minutes or until
soft.
While the potatoes are cooking, start making the dough. Spray
and coat an empty bowl with cooking spray. Add the water, egg,
and vegetable oil to the bowl and stir. Then mix in the flour
and salt until you make a dough. Take the dough out of the bowl
and kneed it on a table with flour until it is smooth and not
too sticky. Roll the dough into a ball, put it under plastic
wrap, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
When the potatoes are done cooking, drain the water out of the
pot. Add the Velveeta and cream cheese along with some salt and
pepper. You can also add a small bit of milk to make the
potatoes easier to mash. Then mash the potatoes until they are
smooth and fluffy. Let the potatoes cool.
After you let the potatoes cool for about 15 minutes, your
dough should be ready. Take a large piece of dough and flatten
it out, with a rolling pin, on a table coated with some flour.
Use a circle cookie cutter and cut out pieces of dough. With a
teaspoon, scoop a small amount of the potato filling and put it
in the middle of a piece of dough. Close the dough around the
potato and pinch shut with your fingers and a fork. Keep
repeating this process until you run out of dough or filling.
This should make about 20 pierogi.
When you are done making the pierogi, boil them, five at a
time, in a pot of water for two to three minutes, or until they
float. Then fry them in pan with butter. Now they are ready to
eat. You can top them with sour cream, onion, bacon, or your
favorite gravy. Either way, this is a dish you are sure to
enjoy.

The Cabbage Soup Diet Pill
"The Cabbage Soup Diet Pill"
Copyright 2007 By Willie Crawford
If you're in business on the Internet, selling information
products, and you're not making TONS of sales, then your
problem is simple...
You're selling the wrong thing.
When you sell what people want, to people who both can afford
it and are willing to pay for it, then it really is easy. The
problem is that many of us online marketers try to sell what
we think people should want, what they need, or something
that we're clever enough to create by didn't confirm that the
world wanted BEFORE we created it.
Instead, just look around you and see what people want and
are buying in DROVES. Just watch people, and problems that
they will happily pay to solve become glaringly obvious.
I, for example, am a "baby-boomer." Among other things, that
means that I'm at a point in life where my metabolism has
slowed down, and I have a tendency to gain weight.
My tendency to gain weight easily and then struggle to take
it off is compounded by another problem... I'm lazy.
So if you were going to market something to me, it should
probably be a diet and/or exercise program that allows me to
quickly shed pounds. It also has to be so easy that it's
"effortless."
Remember, I'm also lazy.
I'm also use to instant gratification. I watch television shows
where all problems are solved within a 30-minute window. I live
in an age where we "pop pills" for everything.
The ideal product for you to sell me, actually help me to solve
my problem, and make you rich in the process, would be a diet
(that I'd hopefully combine with exercise).
So being the good information marketer that you are, you decide
that you'll sell me a proven diet. You search the diet literature
and discover the time-tested cabbage soup diet. The cabbage soup
diet is... a diet where you consume a lot of "cabbage soup."
Actually it's a diet, where you consume any of a number of soup
recipes that you can easily locate just by searching the Internet.
You've almost discovered the magic bullet. The only thing missing
is that I have to go through all that trouble of preparing and
eating all that cabbage soup!
Couldn't you just package it into a convenient pill so that all
I have to do is take one several times a day, and as I go about
my day-to-day living, the pounds magically fall off. That would
make you even richer since it's a consumable. When my supply
ran out, or I wanted to trim off a few more pounds, I'd order
another bottle.
Believe it or not, they have figured out how to package all of
the magical, herbally-induced effects of the cabbage soup diet
into a pill. You can now order a bottle of these pills, take them
as directed, and "life is good!" I think that you'd still want
to add in a brisk walk every now and then... just for muscle tone.
Being the "workaholic baby boomer" that I am, I do that by walking
while I work. I'm an "info marketer," so I study my craft while I
walk. I take my diet soup cabbage pills, put on my trusty portable
MP3 player loaded with insider interviews from The Internet
Marketing Inner circle, and life is GOOD!
This stuff "rocks" and it sells well because it works. Selling
products that the world actually wants can be that easy. Maybe
you could come up with something as clever. While you're thinking
about it, you can grab a bottle of cabbage soup diet pills at:

And you thought that I was kidding when you saw the title - didn't
you :-)
